Three Sisters

I have been a fan of Gustav Klimt. In January 2018, I finally had an opportunity to see his paintings in person at the Legion of Honor museum in San Francisco and really got inspiration of "The Virgin" to create this piece where it has three women versus six women in Klimt's painting.

The inspiration for this piece came from after reading the news about the incredibly difficult lives of children from third world countries, who often scavenge the garbage for items they can sell to scrape a living. I wanted to the grim hardships that young children have to endure.

Carnival Dancer Portrait

This piece was inspired by a Rio Carnival fundraising poster for the Pacific Art League. With the designer's permission, I created a mosaic portrait using a complementary color scheme.
“Carnival Dancer” is a portrait of Clara Bow, a silent film actress who rose to stardom in the Roaring Twenties.
